Celebrating Global Wellness Day in Uzbekistan

Spa Global Expert and Tashkent International Clinic are proud to announce that the 12th annual Global Wellness Day was held in Uzbekistan.

For the past 11 years, Global Wellness Day has encouraged people around the world to take care of their physical, mental and emotional health with the slogan, “One day can change your whole life”.

Founded by Belgin Aksoy, the first Global Wellness Day was held in Turkey and it has since been hosted by a variety of countries from Azerbaijan and Colombia to Lebanon and Nepal, among many more. This year on 10 June, it was held in Uzbekistan for the first time at the Panarams Hotel in Tashkent.

Tashkent International Clinic and Spa Global Expert were pleased to welcome United Nations Resident Coordinator Consuelo Vidal-Bruce to open the ceremony.

She noted that one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals – SDG 3 – is dedicated to ‘Good Health and Well-Being’.

Other distinguished guests included representatives from embassies, international organisations and national communities.

Also present was globally renowned wellness expert Cesar Tejedor, Emeritus Ambassador of Global Wellness Day. Mr Tejdor has 25 years of experience working as a wellness coach for hospitals, the Mayo Clinic, and global corporations, spas and hotels. He is preparing to embark on a meaningful visit to Uzbekistan to cultivate a pioneering program in collaboration with Tashkent International Clinic and Spa Global Expert By Paola Restrepo.

Cesar Tejedor's upcoming visit to Uzbekistan represents a moment of profound exploration and cultural exchange. With an open heart and a keen eye for opportunities, Tejedor aims to immerse himself in the beauty of Uzbekistan's culture and find inspiration for a transformative wellness programme that harmonises nature, tradition and wellbeing.
